With an aim to providing a platform to the talented youth to showcase their hidden skills and utilize their capabilities at the professional level, a mega sports event under Khelo India will be organized on Saturday(September 01) at Sports Stadium, Poonch, said Rahul Yadav DC Poonch. District administration of Poonch District is going to organizes a mega sports event inall blocks and Tehsils of this Border District Poonch in which Hockey, VolleyBall, Tug of War, Kho Kho and many more game events will be organized.

 District and inte rblock competitions are being organized to extract shining sports men fromgloom. This event will provide an opportunity for sports persons to improve their skills and to participate in state and nationals level sports. District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav already chaired a meeting to discuss the Modus Operandi for the implementation of Khlelo India programme and directed officials to put all their energy and all resources for the make this event a great success. The Khelo India programme was introduced by Ministry of Sports andYouth affairs to revive sports culture in India at grassroots level. The objective of the programme is to build strong framework for sports played in our country and establish India as great sporting nation.
